Let’s discuss some basic “how to’s” of good communication.

Good communication begins when rapport is established.  Rapport is a mutual feeling of being in communication.  Have you heard the expression “we were on the same wave length?”  That was rapport.

Here are some basic elements in the process of good communication.

1. The speaker is like a radio transmitter.  She is sending out a message … it may be a verbal or non-verbal message.

2. The listener is like a radio receiver.  They are receiving the message.

3. The message is some sort of information. The goal of the communication is to deliver this message.

4. Then there are the distractions that can hinder communication.  Distractions can cause misinterpretations. They can cause parts of the message to not come through. Sometimes these distractions are our own preconceived notions or filters that make us have a faulty interpretation.  They act like static.  We do not have a clear signal when there are distractions.

5. And finally, there needs to be an acknowledgment that the message was heard and a replication or feedback of the message to make sure it was received properly.

A notable Mr. Fred Rogers thought he was about to achieve his big break when a major network asked to meet with him and discuss the possibility of syndicating his local children’s show. One of the network execs asked, “What kind of costume will you be wearing for the show?” Mr. Rogers told the man that he didn’t need a funny costume to communicate with children.

The executives disagreed, insisting that anyone hosting a children’s show must have a costume. So, the meeting ended, and the network decided to pass on the opportunity. Evidently, it was a huge mistake. PBS picked up the show and children’s television has never been the same.

He knew that it was not the elaborate costume that would communicate with the audience. It was him! If you’re a a do it yourself type person, or just enjoy learning new things, then your at the right place. Pressure washing your home, is one of the most common, and easiest ways to increase its value, at a relatively low cost. But when done incorrectly the results can be very damaging. Years ago, and even today when people decide to pressure wash their home, they actually use the term “pressure” literally, and blast away at there home. This method can cause a great deal of damage to the surface, and underneath the surface.

Now pressure washing your home, is done with low pressure, and specially formulated detergents, that remove mold, mildew, and pollutants, safely and almost effortlessly on your part.

Most home owner grade pressure washers are equipped with either a Down Streamer or Up Streamer. The way to tell which you have, a Down streamer will be a chemical injector that is installed AFTER the pump, and an up streamer will be installed BEFORE the pump. Either will work well, but if you do use the Up Streamer, make sure to run plenty of fresh water through the unit, after use.
Get a bucket or container that the siphon line of your chemical injector can rest in. Now its time for our detergent, if mold, and mildew is your primary problem, fill a 5 gallon container with about 2.5 gallons of Clorox bleach, and 2.5 gallons of water. Next add any non ammonia based soap such as laundry detergent to your mix, and stir around.
Identify the soap nozzle your pressure washer should have come with, this nozzle with generally only reach low lying areas, in order to reach higher areas with detergent, you can either use a ladder, or purchase a 0030 – 0060 nozzle from any pressure wash supply store,.
Before beginning, connect your water hose to the unit and turn it on, make sure all hoses are connected securely and your lance is connected as well. Turn the unit on, and with low pressure, preferably a 40 degree tip, pre wet all the grass, trees and any vegetation or structure that could be damage from the detergent. Work in sections, and pre wet the area you are going to start in.
Time to clean, once everything is pre wet, attach your soap nozzle, and place the siphon line in the detergent container, and begin to disperse a liberal amount of detergent from the bottom to the top, on the areas you are attempting to clean. Allow mixture to dwell on the surface for at least 5-10 minuets do NOT let dry, while your waiting attach your low pressure nozzle to the unit, and re wet all the grass, and vegetative areas.
Time to rinse, for a 1 story home a 40 degree nozzle will regulate the pressure to a very low amount, and reach the height your attempting to reach. For a 2 story home, you can either use a ladder, or my preference, is buy a 0020 meg nozzle and stand 15 feet away from your home, to rinse the higher areas, and switch to the close range 40 degree for areas you can reach. Rinse thoroughly and completely, and work from the top to the bottom. If the surface has achieved the desired effect, move on to another section, and repeat steps 5 & 6. If the area you are attempting to clean has not cleaned completely repeat the steps until you obtain your desired result.

If you have followed the above, your home should be clean, and no damages were incurred. Always use every safety precaution when working on ladders or spraying detergent, Never wear open toed shoes, and always where some sort of eye protection.

The above is a great home owner method on cleaning your home, while the methods above are somewhat similar to the way professional companies clean; we also have access to some of the best equipment, and detergents, on the market that can greatly improve results, and productivity. While I always solute the homeowner that can do things on their own, sometimes, it is almost better to contact your local pressure washing company, to do the work for you.  Not only will you be supporting your local small business, but you can rest assured that the job will be done correctly, and backed by an insurance policy.

Always make sure when hiring a Pressure Wash Company, that they do have proof of insurance, and always ask, if low pressure will be used on your home, never allow someone to blast away at your home.

The New York Times, Aug. 5, 2007: Mr. Bush took a 10-minute helicopter tour of the wreckage, where he could see the remains of a school bus, a truck and other vehicles . . . ” Our message to the Twin Cities is we want to get this bridge rebuilt as quick as possible,” the president said.

[Now, imagine if Bush handled the disaster in Minneapolis in the same way he handled Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath of that tragedy . . . ]

Six Months Later: President Bush flew over the Twin Cities in Air Force One and, looking down from 20,000 feet, said the bridge reconstruction looked “pretty good,” but was probably “doubly good on the ground.” His flyover came half a year after Bush praised federal officials for doing a “heck of a job” in responding to the collapse, and he pledged “one of the largest bridge reconstruction efforts the world has ever seen.”

However, the billions in federal aid that Bush promised to rebuild the bridge have not materialized, many millions of it squandered by fraud, mismanagement, and waste. Minnesotans are feeling increasingly frustrated that cleanup of the I-35W bridge collapse continues at a snail’s pace. Rescue workers recently found yet another victim.

Highways around Minneapolis and St. Paul have remained congested, and some angry residents have begun to move away. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has provided loaner cars, dubbed “FEMA cars,” to those who lost their vehicles in the collapse and were unable to settle insurance claims or obtain federal loans for new cars.

Six Months Later: On the one-year anniversary of the Minneapolis bridge collapse, President Bush hovered for four-and-a-half minutes above rush-hour traffic in his presidential helicopter, Marine One, and blamed the Democrat-controlled Congress for it’s failure to repair the I-35W bridge. Later in the day, he defended his decision to veto a 5-cent gas tax that would have paid for replacing the bridge and repairing other aging bridges across the nation, claiming that the escalating, five-year-old, $500-billion war in Iraq was a higher priority. He said a gas tax would “affect economic growth.”

Minnesota’s Republican governor, Tim Pawlenty, after twice vetoing a state gas tax that would have paid for needed highway infrastructure upgrades, said he was now open to the idea. President Bush immediately fired the governor. When Bush learned that Navy divers were still working on the bridge, he ordered them sent to Iraq. He vowed to soon send “armies of compassion” to Minneapolis — as long as the state paid the tab.

Meanwhile, many Minneapolis residents are still driving around in their “FEMA cars”; school enrollment is at it’s lowest point in half a century; crime has reached record levels; hospitals have closed and businesses have relocated.

Minneapolis’ population is now half what it was before the bridge collapse.

A Month Later: Bound for Crawford, for his monthlong summer vacation, President Bush ordered Air Force One to make a detour and fly over New Orleans, the city where many displaced Minneapolis residents have relocated, after their city collapsed into chaos. Looking down on the Big Easy, finally rejuvenated three years after Katrina, thanks to the influx of Midwesterners, Bush declared that Minnesota was too cold anyway and that the relocation to New Orleans was “working very well for them.”

Five Months Later, Jan 20, 2009: On his last day as President, having survived the threat of impeachment that has hovered over his final year in office, George Bush strode stoically across the White House lawn, climbed the steps to Marine One, turned around a flashed two peace signs to the staff gathered on the lawn, then disappeared inside the helicopter. Inside awaited three of his former colleagues — Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Donald Rumsfeld. As the helicopter door closed, Rove approached and gave Bush a going-away present, a T-shirt that read, “It’s not my fault.”

The president busted out laughing as they ascended above Washington.

A Week Later: A poll has found that Americans believe George W. Bush was the least compassionate of the nation’s forty-three presidents, a designation largely blamed on Bush’s ineffective response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Among the questions pollsters asked were, “Was Hurricane Katrina President Bush’s fault?” and “Was the Minneapolis bridge collapse of 2007 President Bush’s fault?” The nearly unanimous responses to those questions was “no.” However, when asked whether Bush did enough to react to those disasters, eight of ten Americans said “no.”

The poll found that, among expectations of the executive office, Americans ranked as “very high” that presidents at least make an attempt to care about the victims of disasters. Lyndon Johnson received high marks for visiting the Lower Ninth Ward and victims in shelters a day after Hurricane Betsy ravaged New Orleans. (“I put aside all the problems on my desk to come to Louisiana as soon as I could,” Johnson said.)

But pollsters found that, despite gaining the White House with the promise of “compassionate conservatism,” Bush irreparably damaged his presidency by doing far too little at the federal level to keep the nation’s attention focused on repairing and rebuilding New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. [He left office with the lowest approval rating in the history of the presidency, roughly 5 percent.]

Three days after Katrina, Bush flew over New Orleans on his return from a monthlong vacation. Peering out the small Air Force One window, he said “it’s got to be doubly devastating on the ground.” Bush’s flyover struck many as a wildly insufficient gesture, as if he didn’t want to get his feet wet, or his hands dirty with the reality of the suffering, by actually visiting New Orleans, the way he visited New York so soon after the 9-11 attacks, a visit that briefly served as the defining moment of his presidency.

The more lasting defining moment of his administration came when Bush finally did visit New Orleans and praised FEMA director Michael Brown for doing “a heck of a job” in his response to Katrina. Two weeks later, Bush returned for a prime-time event on Jackson Square to pledge “one of the largest reconstruction efforts the world has ever seen.” Beneath the floodlights, Bush said, “[T]onight I also offer this pledge of the American people: Throughout the area hit by the hurricane, we will do what it takes, we will stay as long as it takes to help citizens rebuild their communities and their lives.” But a year later, many millions in federal aid were found to have been wasted, and by the storm’s second anniversary nearly 50,000 families were still living in FEMA trailers.

The poll found that it didn’t help Bush’s “compassion index” when his mother, during a visit with Katrina victims at Houston’s Astrodome, said “many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this — this is working very well for them.” [Nor did it help when Bush told wounded soldiers at an Army hospital in San Antonio about his own boo-boo: “I have an injury myself -- not here at the hospital, but in combat with a cedar. I eventually won. The cedar gave me a little scratch. As a matter of fact, the colonel asked if I needed first aid when she first saw me. I was able to avoid any major surgical operations here, but thanks for your compassion, colonel.'']

Of course, Bush wasn’t alone among compassion-less conservatives in stoking America’s change-the-channel attitude toward New Orleans. In a similar poll titled “Compassion in the Congress,” former House Speaker Dennis Hastert scored low marks for his post-Katrina suggestion that damaged neighborhoods could simply be bulldozed, and Louisiana Congressman Richard Baker scored poorly for his claim that Katrina had “finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn’t do it, but God did it.”

Some Americans, the poll found, now believe that the administration’s plan was not to rebuild New Orleans, a sentiment that echoes what Douglas Brinkley, the Tulane University historian and author of ”The Great Deluge,” told the New York Times in 2006: that the Bush strategy was “deliberate inaction,” with the goal being a smaller, less ethnic, more Republican-friendly city — a whiter New Orleans. Nearly 70 percent African-American before Katrina, New Orleans is less than half African-American today.

”The last blue state in the Old South is turning into a red state,” Brinkley said.

Former president Bush, who recently announced plans to return to the corporate world — as head of his former vice president’s old firm, Halliburton — could not be reached for comment. A spokesman for the ex-president said Mr. Bush doesn’t believe in polls and that he “cares about Americans who care about him.”

I got a call November 13th, nine days after the election of America’s first African-American President. The caller – whose voice had the characteristic twang of my fellow rural Texans – asked me “Why none of the papers were reporting that Klan incident that happened at the Dairy Queen in Bellville.”

According to the man on the phone, he met a guy he knew “at the lumber yard” and his buddy had seen the whole thing. There had been a ruckus at the Dairy Queen  in Bellville (a small community about 50 miles outside Houston) when some black people “got served before some white people.”

Next thing you know, he claimed, the Ku Klux Klan was swarming all over the place in hoods and sheets. They were blocking traffic and asking people in passing cars what they thought about black people. Before long police were all over the place. He wanted to know why the event didn’t get any media coverage.

I wondered how such a controversial event could occur so close to my home and I not hear about it. After all, we are the largest circulation per issue editorial publication in the region and we try to keep up. I began questioning the caller about his ‘friend’, telling him I needed an eye witness if I was going to write a story about the confrontation.

I said I would look into it, but he wouldn’t let me off the phone. He began to recite a litany of things he thought were going wrong with our country – the national debt, entrenched special interests in Washington, and more. He really got warmed up about the subject of border security. He claimed all the illegal aliens had voted and swayed the presidential election, then proceeded to tell me a racist joke.

I got off the phone and called the Austin County Sherriff’s department. Just as I suspected, no such event occurred. It was an attempt to create controversy where there was none, and to intimidate those who had taken hope at the election of Barack Obama.

I didn’t get the caller’s name but I knew who he was. His name is Jim Crow.

I know Jim. We grew up in the same neighborhood. He was practically a member of my family, though we never got alone.

Upset and agry, I told my wife about the conversation and she related a story she heard that same day. Apparently a friend’s insurance man had arrived that morning on a sales call. He wanted to know if she had heard they were tearing out the Rose Garden at the White House now that Obama was elected.

Confused, she said she had not heard about that. “It’s true,” said her agent. “They’re replacing it with a watermelon patch.” Apparently Jim Crow sells insurance, too.

Two weeks before the election, a national polls reported that 30% of my fellow Texans still believed Barack Obama is a Moslem. All of us had been buried in election coverage for two years. There is not the remotest possibility anyone who has a television or reads a newspaper lacked the opportunity to expose that obvious lie.

However, you see, ‘Moslem’ is a pseudonym. Jim Crow likes to use pseudonyms. When used to refer to Barack Obama, ‘Moslem’ really means ‘black and untrustworthy’. People who believe lies in the face of all evidence want to believe those lies.

Jim Crow has a lot of relatives down here.

Hate dies hard. It is the child of fear and as old as mankind. The fact that we have elected an African-American as our President does not mean it has gone away – or will go away any time soon.

What this landmark change in our politics may do is flush it from the shadows. Let us hope that is all it does, because if hate has its way it will tear this nation apart.

I have lived with this darkness all of my life. My own family owned over 100 slaves when Texas was a Republic. They raised cotton and cattle, corn and grain, and their field hands were black before and after the emancipation proclamation. Jim Crow cooked up a way to turn political slaves into economic slaves. He’s a clever guy.

Most of the people who loved and cared for me when I was a little Texas boy openly called black people “niggers” and expected them to “stay in their place.”

Everyone in my family knew old Jim Crow. He was welcome in our house.

As far back as I can remember I felt ashamed of this fact. I loved my family, but I hated old Jim. I am not sure when I decided Jim had it wrong, but by the time I was in the sixth grade, at the time of John F. Kennedy’s election, I began to stand up to my parents about the issue.

My mother, a well-educated and sophisticated southern woman, smiled to see my idealism. In those days she was an idealist herself, and though deep down she harbored the attitudes of her parents, considered it uncouth to use racial slurs. It was something done by white trash.

Our family, like many fallen upper-class Southern families, was taught to give back to the disadvantaged. So the women in our clan tried to be kind to ‘colored people’. It was expected of people of their station. However, I had seen that gentility turn to hate in their eyes too many times not to see through the charade.

My step-father was not so covert. He was a close friend of Jim Crow’s and I never got along with him. When he found out hate speech offended me, he often used it to taunt me – sometimes to tears.

I remember how lonely and confused I felt when my grandparents and great-grandparents, people who loved me with a passion and always showed me the greatest kindness, began to commiserate about the failings of the ‘colored race’.

It marked me. In the last few years I realized I have been trying to make up for it ever since. To an outsider, it is obvious. The Queen and I have only caucused in two elections in the last thirty-five years. The first time was for Jesse Jackson. The second time was for Barack Obama. My vote was not about the issues. It was about my own issues with Jim Crow.

Jim was a very successful politician for many years here in Texas. Twenty-seven ‘Jim Crow’ laws were passed in the Lone Star state from 1866 to 1958. Texas was among the South’s most lynch-prone states. At least 355 people, most of them blacks, died in Texas mob violence between 1889 and 1918. That official statistic most likely underestimates the actual death toll. Jim Crow had a lot of friends in law enforcement in those days.

Truth is he still does.

When I first started The Register in 1995, I interviewed an old boy in his late seventies, a German-American man who had lived in the area since birth. He told me a story which haunts me still. I have no idea if it was true or not, but he swore by it.

He claimed that back in the “teens or twenties” a rumor started that a black man in Burton had raped a white woman. Perhaps the woman really was raped. However, often ‘raped’ was a word like ‘Moslem’. It could mean a black man had sex with a white woman, or sometimes was simply seen in the company of a white woman.

This old boy claimed a posse of vigilantes from Carmine got their guns and broke down doors in Burton until they found the ‘guilty’ party. They then took him out in the woods, chained him to a tree and set him on fire.

According to the story, they went to a local bar, got drunk and started bragging about what they had done. The tale got around and Fayette County’s sheriff at that time drove to Carmine and found the perpetrators. According to the man I interviewed, he walked up to them, shook their hands, thanked them for saving the county money, then drove back to La Grange.

That story may be completely fictitious, but when Jim Crow was running Texas, that kind of thing happened over and over. The Civil Rights Act of 1968 did not put old Jim out of business. Not even close.

Some people think they have heard enough about racism in this country. Some people think the fact that we have elected Barack Obama president means we have finally arrived in the “dream” world of Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you believe that, I’ll bet you are not African-American, Hispanic, Jewish, Asian-American, Moslem, or Native American. Those folks know King’s dream has not become a reality. They find out almost every day.

If you moved to a country whose majority was not of European descent, the same thing would happen to you. Jim Crow is not particular. It’s ironic, but hate doesn’t discriminate. You don’t have to be African-American to get his attention. All you have to be is different.

That’s why we use the word “alien”. It’s also a pseudonym. Even worse is ‘illegal alien’. Aliens are scary. Think Roswell and War of the Worlds. Imagine a Hispanic with huge pointed teeth bursting out of your chest on a space ship in another galaxy. You get the idea.

Jim Crow and his buddies have always twisted words and worked in darkness like cowards. They do their business in dark rooms on dark nights with dark metaphors. They rely on our unwillingness to confront them openly. They rely on the fact that most of us will not tell the insurance salesman who makes a racist joke he just lost a customer. Jim knows we will just smile uncomfortably and let it go…because after all, we are nice people.

Last February, when I was still the Editor of The Round Top Register, I passionately endorsed the candidacy of Barack Obama. Given that Fayette County is 70% Republican, that was not a popular decision. Our current editor – also a Republican – has pointed this out. He is probably right.

In that endorsement I pointed out the following:

“No one wants to talk about race and gender. The media dances around it. The campaigns duck the subject as though it were an illicit affair or a charge of corruption. But isn’t the fact we have come to the point in our history that a black man or a woman could become President what is most exciting about this race?”

“Isn’t that a powerful signal to the world that we are still the most vibrant, egalitarian, compassionate and politically advanced nation on earth!”

“Think what it will mean, if and when it happens, about who we are!”

There is one reason I bring up this admittedly uncomfortable subject now – right after we have accomplished this great leap in race relations in our nation.

The truth is the last election did proved that America is, exactly as I predicted, “…the most vibrant, egalitarian, compassionate and politically advanced nation on earth.”

If we cannot extinguish racism in this country, then where on Earth will it end?

If you watched the faces of people from all over the world on the day after, you know by making that choice we gave new hope to people all over this planet. They need hope, because Jim Crow and his cousins live in every nation and, in most of them, he still has a lot of political and economic power.

His relatives in Iraq kill children simply because they are Shiite or Sunni or Kurd. His drinking buddies in Europe make sure the fix is in. Racial and cultural minorities are quietly excluded from a fair shake. Ethnic, religious, racial, and cultural minorities experience discrimination everywhere. Millions have died from it.

In 1994, over the course of roughly 100 days, hundreds of thousands of Rwanda’s Tutsis were exterminated by Hutu militia because they were different. Most estimates indicate the death toll was between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people.

That is chicken feed. Just in the last century you can barely count the genocides on two hands. The numbers are in dispute, but Mao in China – 20-73  million; Stalin in Russia – 4-60 million; Hitler in Germany – 15-50 million; Japan’s Tojo– 6-30 million in China; Pol Pot in Cambodia – 2-3 million; Kim II-sung in North Korea – 1.6 million; Mengistu Haile Mariam in Ethiopia – 1.5 million; Ismail Enver in Turkey – 1.2-1.5 million; Ykubu Gowon in Nigeria – Over a million; and Brezhnev in Armenia – 900,000.

Why the carnage? Because the victims were seen as alien.

So that’s why I am bringing this up in the first Round Top Register since the election. I want to ask you to open your eyes and look into your heart. I want you to see we have just taken a big step, but the journey is long and we have far to go.

For those who are fighting this good fight, I want to point out there are only two things that disarm Jim Crow. Anger and violence only make him stronger. They are his stock in trade.

The first weapon against Jim is the truth. The second weapon is absolutely lethal. It was taught to us by Jesus Christ and preached by Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is the practice of loving your enemy.

In the war against racism and hate, the most deadly weapons we have are love, compassion, understanding, patience, and forgiveness.

The cost of lap band surgery depends first of all on whether you plan to have it done in the United States or whether you plan to travel to another country. But more so before you investigate you want to make sure you’re qualified for the lap band procedure because it’s not an elective surgery. The National Institutes of Health have certain guidelines that weight loss or bariatric surgeons use to determine whether you’re a qualified candidate or not.

Lap band surgery won’t even be considered if you aren’t 18 years of age or older or don’t have a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 40 and 60. The exception is if it’s 35 or greater with co-morbid, obesity-related or associated conditions such as sleep apnea, diabetes mellitus, infertility, metabolic syndrome or high cholesterol among others. The list includes many other diseases that are often associated with obesity.

You must also have made a significant effort to lose weight by weight loss programs that are supervised by physicians or other authorized weight loss programs over an extended period of time without achieving a sustainable weight loss.

So if you meet the NIH criteria and your doctor certifies you then your health insurance should cover it but if you don’t qualify you may have to pay for it yourself if you can get a bariatric surgeon, perhaps in Mexico or another country to agree to perform the surgery.

When determining the cost of the surgery you must consider all the other associated costs. These costs include lab tests, your surgeon’s fees and the hospital expenses. After surgery you’ll have follow up tests, doctor visits perhaps psychological support and food, diet and nutritional counseling.

If you have the surgery in the United States the cost of lap band surgery has been steadily going down over the past few years. Perhaps because more weight loss surgeons are performing it and there is more emphasis in the news and/or from increased competition from weight loss surgeons in Europe and Australia and countries such as Mexico, Brazil, India, and Canada. There may be more competition, making lap band surgery cheaper, in popular gastric banding cities like Houston, Chicago, and Dallas and in states such as Texas, Florida, Illinois, and California.

Cost of lap band surgery in the US can cost from $13,000 on up, not including any of the associated costs that you’ll have before or after surgery. It would be difficult to estimate all the costs you’ll have prior to surgery. Complications may occur following surgery that would drive the cost up also. If you have health insurance coverage this may be less of a concern.

Cost of lap band surgery can be as little as $8000 in Mexico and has been going down considerably in the past few years. But you must make sure that you add on all your travel costs – airfare and airfare for any return visits if necessary, hotel stays, rental cars, etc. The procedure itself is usually a one-night stay or less. The actual hospital costs will be less. Surgery outside the United States will probably not be covered by your health insurance company.

If you’re covered by your health insurance policy then it would be better and safer to have your lap band surgery in the United States. Plus if medical complications arise you will be better protected legally. If you’re not covered then make sure to weigh all the costs of the surgery – the costs to have gastric banding procedures in the US compared to Mexico for example, where your travel costs may be considerably less and you may be close to home or in Canada if it’s closer geographically to you. Many lap band procedures are done there as well. Canada has free health benefits that you may be eligible for.

In any case make sure to weigh all the pros and cons of the surgery as well as the cost of lap band surgery. Even though the lap bad can be removed (it’s reversible) you want to be aware of all the risks and side effects besides the weight loss benefits.
